2nt Lusty Beg Island Stay For 2 with Breakfast

Attended a wedding here recently - wedding was beautiful but some aspects of the stay were not so good. The disappointing things were that not all the rooms were ready so it was a real rush to get ready with some of the guests having to get ready in the Spa - this is not acceptable for families with small children. The food was disappointing in some respects - portion control is required as I think this had an effect on the presentation etc. However the staff are all so very friendly and helpful - the wedding was great and the lake provided an amazing backdrop for the photographs. Not sure I would return unless it was an occasion but did enjoy the event and definitely big marks for the staff.

We had our wedding reception here on the 7th march From our first visit in April through to the day of the wedding everything went like clockwork.

Lusty Beg Island Spa Retreat

We stayed over just one night at Lusty Beg Island in a bed and breakfast accommodation - The Courtyard.. Lovely room over looking the lough - all though the lighting in this room was poor - even on a bright day. I asked for a late check out till 1pm which was no problem and this was agreed at no extra charge - however the housekeeping team did arrive at the room - just opened the door and walked in -at We had a meal in the bar on arrival - good quality, hot and friendly staff. Breakfast was good -until I noticed a large crack in the dish the grapefruit segments were being served from.

Just back from two day stay at Lusty Beg. My feelings are very mixed so going to Review different aspects separately. Location - incredible as always!! Room - Only room left was the bridal suite Bar - the bar was great, open fires and nice cocktails Great craic had!! Breakfast was so basic and looked pretty disgusting. However, the staff very kindly made me poached eggs at no extra cost which saved the day lol the dinner menu was very limited especially for vegetarians. Lusty used to do a set 3 course menu which was beautiful, alongside a bar menu so there were plenty of options.. Not sure why this changed!!
